Intelligence:
Mankind's Emerging World in Cyberspace
by Pierre Levy
http://www.hrc.wmin.ac.uk/theory-collectiveintelligence.html
The Net has become our symbol for the future.
Like clocks, steam engines and nuclear power
for earlier
generations, we use this icon of technology to
imagine what will result from our current period
of rapid
social change. In Collective Intelligence,
Pierre Levy provides
a French vision of what will happen when everyone
can participate within cyberspace.

Some
Exploratory Notes on Produsers and Produsage
Dr Axel Bruns
Introduction:
In recent years, various observers have pointed to the shifting paradigms
of
cultural and societal participation and economic production in developed
nations. These changes are facilitated (although, importantly, not solely
driven) by the emergence of new, participatory technologies of information
access, knowledge exchange, and content production, many of whom are
associated with Internet and new media technologies.

Connessioni Leggendarie
Mediateca di Santa Teresa.Via della Moscova, 28 - 20121 Milano.
Connessioni
Leggendarie is the first exhibition devoted
to NET.ART
history. Referring to a wide audience it reviews the years from 1995
to 2005; during this decade, artists separated by geographical and
socio-political barriers shared ideas and artworks, using them as
creative weapons over a new and unique continent: the Internet.
Working with net languages, developing collective actions with a
strong media impact, bringing irony, deconstruction and, why not, fun
inside the formal severity of digital cultures, artists belonging to
NET.ART gave life to a true legend.
